Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg day shift position requiring an active Illinois RN license and Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit specializing in medical respiratory cases
• Day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Assigned to the 7C Medical Respiratory unit
• Utilization of Epic EMR is required
• Level 1 Trauma experience is required
• Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care following unit standards
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation of nursing care provided
• Support and contribute to team knowledge sharing and professional development
• Return-to-work policy requires at least a 6-month break after 1 year of continuous assignment
• RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active Illinois state RN license in good standing, temporary license accepted
• Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience in Med/Surg settings
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
