Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of recent experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a weekend/evening shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an MRI department using GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 equipment
• Average of approximately 9 patients per shift
• Weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM, totaling 32 hours per week
• Possible call coverage as needed after midnight
• Always teamed with another MRI Technologist or Tech Aide, never working solo
• Use of Meditech Expanse EMR is highly preferred
• Responsibilities include performing MRI examinations and collaborating with another technologist or aide
• Department is covered by call after midnight
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the shift
• Up to 5 days of time off may be requested prior to assignment; no scheduling requests will be approved after submission
• Orientation is 8 hours and non-billable

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience as an MRI Technologist
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Active BLS certification through AHA required
• Experience with GE MRI equipment required
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience is highly preferred
• Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and take call as needed
• Must have a personal vehicle
• Permanent address must be included for consideration
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Recent work history and MRI skills checklist required
• One supervisory signed reference from the past two years required
• License required if applicable
