Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to float within Progressive Care Units (PCU) with a minimum of two years PCU experience and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) float pool within a short term acute care teaching hospital
• Float between three hospital locations within a 20-mile radius as needed
• Night shifts of 12 hours from 18:45 to 7:15
• Care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and management of non-titratable drips
• Use of Epic charting system; proficiency level 3 or 4 required
• Must be familiar with cardiac drips and routine arrythmia management
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized upon assignment confirmation
• White scrubs required for all shifts
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
• All requested time off must be included at the time of application; late RTO likely not approved
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location may not exceed 18 consecutive months; minimum 6-month break required before return
• Nicotine-free policy strictly enforced throughout employment

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of PCU experience
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Demonstrated ability to manage non-titratable cardiac drips and knowledge of basic arrhythmias
• Experience with Epic EMR at proficiency level 3 or 4 required
• Negative nicotine screening and 10-panel drug screen required
• Pending licenses accepted for consideration
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
