Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse for a day shift Long Term Care position requiring a ME or compact RN license and at least 3 years of nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a skilled nursing facility specializing in Long Term Care
- Day shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 0630-1700 (10-hour shifts)
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Position serves in a charge nurse leadership capacity
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Coordinate and direct total nursing care for assigned residents
- Serve as a resource for the unit and provide administrative backup in the director's absence
- Participate in resident and family education
- Work cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other team members
- Responsible for maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements
- Active ME or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
