Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse for a day shift Long Term Care position requiring a ME or compact RN license and at least 3 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a skilled nursing facility specializing in Long Term Care
Day shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 0630-1700 (10-hour shifts)
Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
Position serves in a charge nurse leadership capacity
Local candidates are accepted for this position
Coordinate and direct total nursing care for assigned residents
Serve as a resource for the unit and provide administrative backup in the director's absence
Participate in resident and family education
Work cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other team members
Responsible for maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality

Requirements

Active ME or compact RN license required
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience
Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
