Job Description
American Traveler seeks an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation assignment requiring at least 1 year of acute rehab experience and an AK license or eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Work in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving a diverse patient population including stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputations
- 10-bed LTACH/ICU and 46-bed inpatient rehabilitation units
- Day shifts, four 10-hour shifts per week with options including Sun/Mon/Thu/Fri or Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri
- Approximately 2 weekend days per month are required if not included in a regular schedule
- No call or floating outside of the assigned facility
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Free parking is available
- Provide therapy services to patients recovering from a variety of complex conditions
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state if needed
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal or no RTO is preferred; all time-off requests must be submitted up front
- Scrub color is flexible
- Two supervisory references covering one year of employment in a comparable setting within the last three years are required for consideration
Requirements
- Current AK Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS and NBCOT certification
- Minimum 1 year acute rehab facility experience required; IRF experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR system is required
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Pending AK license considered, but preference given to candidates with license in hand
