Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Staff Development Coordinator for a Long Term Care position requiring LTC experience and SPICE certification.

Responsibilities

Work in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting
Serves as Staff Development Coordinator for nursing staff
Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 8:00-17:00)
On-call nurse responsibilities are required as per facility policy
May be required to provide direct patient care as needed
Coordinates orientation and ongoing in-service education for nursing staff
Leads annual skills day for nurses and nursing assistants
Ensures all staff licensure and certifications are current
Manages and investigates incidents, medication errors, and monitors infections
Completes and submits nursing assistant renewal forms
Reports to the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator
Must be available 24/7 per on-call requirement

Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license with no disciplinary action
Minimum of 1 year of recent Long Term Care experience
SPICE certification required
Documentation of work experience within 3 years prior to consideration
