Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro/Surgical ICU position working nights with required neuro and surgical ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Neuro/Surgical ICU setting
• 12-bed unit with patient ratios between 1:1 and 1:3
• Cares for neuro and intensive care patients
• Night shift, 18:30–07:00, with every other weekend required
• Uses ICU management equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile facility radius and within RN scope
• No on-call requirements
• Mandatory navy scrubs required
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• No housing expense support provided

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent neuro and surgical ICU RN experience
• Experience with ICU equipment such as ventilators, arterial lines, and CVLs
• Experience charting with Cerner preferred
