Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU/SICU)
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Care for critical neurological and surgical patient populations
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing required with two attempts permitted for ICU units
• Travelers may not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius as defined by stated counties
• Maximum of three call outs permitted during a 13-week contract, with mandatory make-up shifts
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with application
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Must complete all required onboarding documentation and verification forms

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU or Surgical ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience is required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemption only for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional
