Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for the Critical Care Float Pool with night shifts, requiring EPIC EMR experience and an active NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Float to various ICU units as assigned during night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
• No blocked scheduling is allowed
• Shift pattern includes night shifts with no on-call requirements
• Competency testing is required for all ICU units and must be passed within two attempts
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make up shifts required
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Candidates must not reside in specific counties within a 50-mile radius (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be declared prior to consideration

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience is required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience is required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number is required for consideration (no Canadian SIN accepted)
• Medical exemptions for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional
