Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position in New York, requiring a NY RN license, recent ICU experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Critical Care Float Pool setting
• Float to multiple critical care units as needed
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00
• Thirteen-week assignment
• Epic EMR is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Competency testing required for all ICU float pool nurses, with two attempts allowed
• More than 3 call outs during a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination; make-up shifts are mandatory
• RTO must be requested during application
• Local candidates from specific counties within 50 miles are not eligible
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU or critical care experience required
• Certifications from AHA or RQI in hand
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical documentation required for flu vaccine exemptions
