Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Critical Care Float Pool role requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work within the Critical Care Float Pool, covering a variety of ICU settings in a hospital environment
- Night shift hours are 19:00 to 07:30
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- No blocked scheduling is permitted
- Candidates must complete competency testing specific to ICU upon onboarding
- Contract will be terminated if more than three call outs occur within 13 weeks; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
- RTO must be requested at the time of application
- Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
- Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
- Applicants residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at the time of application
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU or critical care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI are required
- Competency testing for ICU must be passed within 2 attempts
- Epic EMR experience required
- No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Must have a valid US Social Security Number; Canadian SINs are not accepted
- Medical documentation for flu exemption must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted

SICU is clickie and you can get fired easily. Some providers seem rude to black travelers
