Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a remote Oregon hospital, requiring current Oregon licensure and experience in rehabilitation therapy.

Responsibilities

• Work in a remote hospital rehabilitation therapy setting
• Monday to Thursday schedule with 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts
• Role focuses on both physical and mental disability rehabilitation for diverse patient populations
• Responsibilities include evaluating and performing therapeutic, educational, vocational, and recreational activities to restore patient function upon physician referral
• Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to set and achieve patient goals
• The hospital is located in a remote area, with the nearest large airport 3 to 4 hours away
• Candidates should be prepared for limited access to amenities and must be fully committed to working in a remote location

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program
• Current or eligible Oregon Occupational Therapist license is required if applicable
• Current, valid Oregon driver's license required
• Current CPR certification required
• Experience in occupational therapy related to physical disability, rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgery, and mental health
• Familiarity with rehabilitation certifications such as ASHA, CHT, or ACP training
