Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery LDRP position, requiring an OR RN license and BLS/NRP certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor and Delivery/LDRP unit at a Level III Trauma Center and Critical Access Hospital
- Patient population includes laboring, delivering, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards: 1:1 for active labor and 1:3 for postpartum
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00–19:00
- Every other weekend coverage is required
- Must float to other units and facilities within the state as needed, sometimes with hotel accommodations if on consecutive shifts
- Uses Epic EMR, experience required
- Perform comprehensive nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages
- Travelers may be asked to float to multiple facilities, including the possibility of working in Seaside with hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursements for consecutive shifts
- Hospital provides scrubs in specific departments; any color scrubs allowed otherwise
- Returning employees must have a 3-month break from prior permanent positions and live at least 50 miles from the submitting facility
- Minimal to no RTO preferred; all time off requests must be discussed at submission
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications are required
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience preferred
- Must provide minimum 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Must have a vehicle for transportation between facilities
