Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California requiring a current CA RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Must be flexible to work weekends depending on contract length
• Floating required to Mother Baby unit and potentially to other facilities within the state
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience required
• Precepting skills preferred
• May be required to float to another nearby hospital location
• All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state, refusal may result in termination
• Free parking is available on site
• Scrub color is flexible and any color is permitted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• Requested time off must be included at time of application submission
• No on-call requirements for this position

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, FHM, and NRP
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• References from at least two supervisors covering one year of employment in a comparable specialty within the past three years required
