Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least one year of inpatient hospital experience and an active MN OT license for a weekday, acute care assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an acute care hospital setting at a Level 3 trauma facility
• Patient population includes adults with diagnoses such as general deconditioning, post-op ortho, total joint replacement, neuro cases, and medical-surgical
• Typical therapy caseload averages 30-40 patients
• Monday through Friday day shifts with no call or weekends
• Potential to float to outpatient occupational therapy if needed
• EPIC EMR is used within the department
• Duties include evaluation and treatment of adult patients with a wide range of diagnoses in the acute care setting
• Orientation includes computer-based training and 1-on-1 EPIC and department orientation
• Charcoal grey scrubs or business casual dress code is required
• Applicants who have previously worked for this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted, though pay rates may differ

Requirements

• Active MN Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification from AHA is required
• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient hospital experience within the past 3 years
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Willingness to float to outpatient therapy as needed
