Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring 2 years of neuro ICU and trauma center experience at a large facility.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neuro ICU of a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
• Patient ratio is 1:2 for both days and nights
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Every other weekend shift is required
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic EMR system
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Facility will auto approve up to 7 days of requested time off; more than 7 days requires approval
• Travelers are expected to participate in any natural disaster or emergency response activities required by the facility
• Scrubs or dress code requirements will be provided by the facility
• Parking is available for $125 per month

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license, or eligibility for pending license
• Minimum 2 years of neuro ICU experience
• Experience in a large trauma center required
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless medical or religious exemption is documented
• Candidates must not have disciplinary actions on their nursing license
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Must not have been a permanent staff member at this facility within the past two years to be considered as a traveler
