Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in a renal-focused adult/geriatric unit, requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit specializing in renal care
• Adult to geriatric patient population with an average ratio of 1:5-6 and an average daily census of 48
• Unit has 49 rooms and requires documentation in Epic (required), with use of Pyxis and SBAR
• Schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 to 19:00)
• Every other weekend coverage is required
• Floating may be required within facility and scope of practice
• No on-call requirements
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Scrub color is navy blue
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off is allowed, excluding spring break blackout dates (April 4th-12th)
• No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts are permitted; listed shift is firm
• If a major holiday falls within the assignment, you must be available to work it as per holiday policy
• Return travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to be eligible
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift and unit
• Full compliance required prior to start; late compliance may result in assignment delay
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license at time of application
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Professional licensure documents must be submitted for consideration
