Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in a renal-focused adult/geriatric unit, requiring a GA or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit specializing in renal care
- Adult to geriatric patient population with an average ratio of 1:5-6 and an average daily census of 48
- Unit has 49 rooms and requires documentation in Epic (required), with use of Pyxis and SBAR
- Schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 to 19:00)
- Every other weekend coverage is required
- Floating may be required within facility and scope of practice
- No on-call requirements
- First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
- Scrub color is navy blue
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off is allowed, excluding spring break blackout dates (April 4th-12th)
- No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts are permitted; listed shift is firm
- If a major holiday falls within the assignment, you must be available to work it as per holiday policy
- Return travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to be eligible
- Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift and unit
- Full compliance required prior to start; late compliance may result in assignment delay
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license at time of application
- Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Professional licensure documents must be submitted for consideration
