Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN with at least one year of cardiac or critical care experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab within a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are typically 1:6 with 12-18 cases per day across three newly renovated Philips labs
• Procedures include STEMI, TAVRs, Watchman, carotids, Impella, CTO, peripherals, TEVARS/EVARS
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor for cardiac cath cases
• Uses Philips lab equipment, Medrad and manifold for injections, XPER, and Epic for documentation
• Day shifts are 7:00-17:30, working four 10-hour shifts per week with alternating Monday-Friday schedule
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• On-call required from 17:30-07:00 on weekdays and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday
• Floating may be required within scope to the medical assignment area and ED for medical holds
• First time travelers will be considered for this position
• Team-oriented and collaborative unit focused on high-quality care
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Epic and XPER documentation systems utilized
• Block scheduling and RTO requests considered at manager's discretion
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum one year of cardiac or critical care RN experience required
• Experience in cardiac cath and/or IR preferred
