Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Step Down Telemetry position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Step Down telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratio is typically 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required between units and facilities within the state
• No on-call required
• Level II Trauma Center
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips is a hard requirement
• Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and may not apply if living within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal to no requested time off is preferred; requests must be discussed before submission
• Solid navy blue scrubs are required for licensed nursing personnel
• Free surface parking in designated employee/visitor lots
• All travelers are expected to float as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Step Down or comparable experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to provide titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
