Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in California requiring a current CA RN license and Cerner EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Schedule includes Sunday through Saturday coverage
• 13-week contract assignment
• Use of Cerner EMR system is required
• Blocked or self-scheduling is not permitted
• Responsibilities focus on providing telemetry care to acute patients during night shifts
• Return staff must be gone for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• No requested time off (RTO) permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• All scheduling or time off requests must be included at the time of application submission
• Candidates will need to complete an EKG skills assessment
• First-time travelers are eligible for this assignment

Requirements

• Active, valid CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• At least one year of acute care experience required
• Recent telemetry specialty experience (within the last 2 years) required
• Experience with Cerner EMR required
• Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts allowed)
• No temporary or provisional licenses accepted
• One supervisory or managerial reference from the past year in the applying specialty required
• Additional professional reference from the past 2 years required
