Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit night shift position with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital environment
Adult and geriatric patient population with complex, multi-diagnosis cases
Patient ratio of 1:5, up to 6 for lower acuity
Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30), with both 36 or 48 hour work weeks available
Every other weekend required, with 4 weekends in a 4-week schedule cycle
Holiday coverage as scheduled
Floating required within specialty, to lower acuity units, and to a sister location as needed
No on-call requirements
Responsible for providing care to high-volume, fast-paced telemetry patients with varied and complex health conditions
Orientation and CPI training provided onsite during onboarding
First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Holiday coverage scheduled as part of regular rotation

Requirements

Current MD or compact RN license
Minimum 2 years' recent telemetry nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
CPI certification will be completed on site during orientation as part of the health system onboarding
Experience caring for adult and geriatric telemetry patients
