Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg position working night shifts, requiring a ME or compact RN license and prior med/surg experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Medical Surgical Care unit in a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
Three 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 36 hours
No call required
Every other weekend required
Handles adult med/surg and med/surg ortho cases
Block scheduling is not available
Work as part of an established medical surgical team
Focus on care for adult medical and orthopedic patients
No COVID-19 vaccine required for this position
First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

Active ME or compact RN license
Minimum of 3 years of recent medical surgical nursing experience
Current BLS/BCLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Telemetry experience preferred
Flu vaccine required per Maine state mandate
