Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with ARRT certification, BLS, ACLS, and at least 2 years of recent STEMI/PCI facility experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cath lab environment with 7 rooms and an average daily census of 25-30 adult and geriatric patients
- Handles both inpatient and outpatient cases
- Shifts are 4x10 hours, typically from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Call required one weekday per week and every fifth weekend
- May be floated to EP lab as needed if Cath Lab or IR volume is low
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- Utilizes Epic EMR system
- IABP and Impella device training required
- No locals accepted within 50 miles
- You will support both cath and EP lab procedures as needed
- Scrubs are provided onsite
- The unit accepts travelers based on experience
- Call responsibilities and potential float to other interventional areas depending on case load
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ODH license required (License required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility
- Ability to perform IV starts and EKGs
- Experience with IR/angio/special procedures including stents, angioplasty, and vascular access
- Must be STEMI ready to apply
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
