Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of recent STEMI/PCI facility experience and current ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cardiac cath lab with 7 procedure rooms handling both inpatient and outpatient cases
• Census averages 25-30 adult and geriatric patients per day
• May be assigned to electrophysiology (EP) when Cath Lab/IR cases are low, depending on experience
• Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Call rotation includes one weekday per week and every fifth weekend
• Day shift schedule is 4x10 hour shifts, either 6:30 AM-5:00 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Uses Epic EMR system
• No floating to units outside Cath Lab, IR, or EP
• May be floated to EP based on experience and department needs
• Scrubs are provided
• Travelers accepted based on experience
• Holiday and weekend coverage required as scheduled
• License required if applicable

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience in a STEMI/PCI facility
• Current ARRT certification required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ODH license required
• Must be STEMI ready to apply
• Experience with IV starts and EKGs required
• IABP and Impella training required
• Must be able to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No applicants accepted within 50 miles of the facility
