Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a MRI Technologist for night shifts with at least 1 year of recent MRI experience and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital imaging department with an average of 33 MRI studies per day
• Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, outpatient, and a large number of medical device patients
• Procedures include cases performed with anesthesia and Cardiac MRI (day shift only)
• Utilize Siemens Vida and GE SIGNA Artist 450W MRI scanners
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
• 10-hour night shifts: Monday 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, Tuesday–Thursday 10:30 PM–7:00 AM
• No on-call or floating required
• 75% holiday coverage required
• Responsibilities include reviewing physician orders, preparing and explaining procedures, interviewing and assessing patients, and administering IV contrast per protocol
• Responsible for technical quality of images, patient care during exams, and adherence to department safety and infection control policies
• Must maintain knowledge of MRI safety for staff and patients
• Support available from tech assistants overnight and guest services/transport for patients
• Administrative onboarding is 1 day, with up to 1 week departmental orientation as needed
• Black scrubs required
• Free surface lot and parking deck parking available
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent MRI technologist experience
• Current ARRT(R) or NMTCB, plus ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• License required if applicable
• Must submit last 4 of SSN and full DOB for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within one year
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the work location; local candidates not accepted
• Returning employees must be separated for at least 1 year from any previous permanent position at an AHSE facility
