Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (M) certification for a 26-week acute care assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care setting within the Mammography unit
• Department is equipped with 2 scanners and uses Hologic equipment
• Day shifts Monday through Friday with no weekends or call required
• Imaging procedures include screening and diagnostic mammograms as well as biopsy procedures
• Average caseload of 22-28 studies per day
• Uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS system
• No requirement to float to other areas
• No IV starts required for this role
• Scrub color is grey
• Training and orientation provided based on experience and comfort level
• Radiologist and Registered Radiology Assistants are in-house
• No holiday, weekend, or call coverage required
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Previous WVU Medicine employees must have a two-year break before reapplying as travelers
• Travelers may work with WVU for up to one year, after which a two-year break is required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• ARRT (M) certification required
• Must be able to provide documentation of MQSA requirements for consideration
• Experience with Hologic mammography equipment preferred
• License required if applicable
