Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a VT or compact license, prior travel experience, and recent Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Women and Child unit of a hospital setting specializing in Labor & Delivery
• 12-hour day shifts with a requirement to work every other weekend or as scheduled to meet unit and patient needs
• Float required to other units as necessary
• Call required: 2 twelve-hour call shifts in a rolling 4-week period
• Cares for laboring mothers and newborns, including immediate newborn care and resuscitation
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
• Responsibilities include supporting women and newborns during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care with neonatal resuscitation involvement
• No block schedules are allowed for any reason
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are held on Mondays
• Candidates must ensure their vehicles have all season or snow tires from November to April

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license is required
• Prior travel RN experience is required
• A minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery and LDRP experience required for consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE
• Experience as a baby nurse for deliveries, including neonatal resuscitation, assigning APGAR scores, and administering newborn medications post-delivery
• Reliable personal vehicle is required due to lack of public transportation in the area
