Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with trauma and robotics experience for a Level I Trauma hospital, requiring a PA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Requires experience functioning in Level I Trauma environments
• Responsibilities include both scrubbing and circulating roles
• Proficiency with the Davinci xi robot required; familiarity with the DV5 model is a plus
• Handle robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology cases
• Assigned specialties span robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart), and trauma
• Work schedule options: 4x10-hour or 3x12-hour shifts, primarily days
• Weekend coverage required: 3-4 shifts in a 6-week period with day, evening, or night potential
• Call required: 2-3 calls in 6 weeks with a 30-minute response time
• Floating to other units as needed
• Potential exposure to COVID patients
• RNs must be able to function independently without the need for refresher training
• Manager interview is part of the selection process
• Must adhere to a tobacco and fragrance free facility policy
• Holiday coverage required as needed, may be on any shift
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license is required
• Minimum 3 years of recent OR RN experience required
• Level I trauma OR experience required; at least one year at Level II trauma or above
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with the Davinci xi robot required, other robotic experience must be relevant
• Ability to scrub and circulate independently in all listed specialties
