Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with robotic and trauma experience for a day shift position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
Patient population includes surgical cases requiring advanced robotic and trauma procedures
Uses Cerner charting system and robotic surgical equipment
Day shifts of 0645-1715 or 0845-1915, based on unit needs
Required to work every Saturday or Sunday with variable third shifts
On-call duties required and floating within scope as needed
Locals not accepted; must live more than 100 miles from the facility
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
OR scrubs are provided; scrub color is navy
No cost for parking, with parking structure available near the facility
Weekend and holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs

Requirements

Active Alaska RN license required at time of application
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
Current BCLS certification required
Robotic surgery experience required
Trauma experience required
Experience with code response, fire safety, malignant hypothermia protocols, electrosurgical equipment, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes necessary
