Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with robotic and trauma experience for a day shift position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
- Patient population includes surgical cases requiring advanced robotic and trauma procedures
- Uses Cerner charting system and robotic surgical equipment
- Day shifts of 0645-1715 or 0845-1915, based on unit needs
- Required to work every Saturday or Sunday with variable third shifts
- On-call duties required and floating within scope as needed
- Locals not accepted; must live more than 100 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- OR scrubs are provided; scrub color is navy
- No cost for parking, with parking structure available near the facility
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs
Requirements
- Active Alaska RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Current BCLS certification required
- Robotic surgery experience required
- Trauma experience required
- Experience with code response, fire safety, malignant hypothermia protocols, electrosurgical equipment, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes necessary
