Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position in Massachusetts requiring a current MA license, ACLS, and Epic experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an 8-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit specializing in acute neurosurgical and neurological care
- Patient population includes stroke, sub-arachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral aneurysm, arteriovenous malformations, neurovascular surgery, interventional neuro-radiology, brain tumors, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and epilepsy
- The unit is a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
- 12-hour rotating shifts with day and night coverage, including every other weekend
- Epic EMR experience required
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neuro patients across a range of complex diagnoses
- Weekly orientation provided every Monday, excluding holidays
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; more than 7 days or time off over holidays may affect consideration
- Candidates who have worked at Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities in any capacity within the past six months are not eligible
- Parking fees may apply
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 1-3 years of recent relevant Neuro ICU experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster, and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions permitted)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local travelers accepted
- Must pass Tele/ECG and medication testing
