Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position requiring telemetry and EKG rhythm interpretation skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) of a hospital
- Care for intermediate acuity patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Uses EKG and telemetry equipment
- Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Every third weekend required
- Duties include monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing acute and chronic conditions, and responding to changes in patient status
- Must be competent in telemetry interpretation and care coordination
- Candidates living within 60 miles are considered local and may receive a different pay rate
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Minimum of 2 years of IMC nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- CPI certification preferred
