Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and a compact or TN RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab of a hospital setting
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with possible changes as determined during the interview
• On-call required as part of the schedule
• Weekend shifts may be required as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles, though this is rare
• Patient care involves cardiac catheterization procedures
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred
• Provide direct care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization
• May be required to work holidays; if Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's fall within the contract, must be available for 2 of 3, or 1 of 2 if only two occur
• All requested time off must be included at the time of application; additional RTO will not be approved
• Returning former employees must have a separation of at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact state) required and must be in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required; 3 years preferred
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment; first-time travelers not accepted
• Driver’s license required for consideration
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• No local candidates; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
