Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a VA or Compact license and minimum two years of operating room experience for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Day shifts scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, typically 10:30 to 23:00
• Call required: 3-4 call shifts every 6 weeks for 8 hours each
• Level II Trauma center with exposure to trauma, neuro, ortho spine, general surgery, and robotics cases
• Epic OP TIME system is used for charting; Epic experience preferred
• Main responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for diverse surgical cases including trauma, neuro, ortho spine, robotics, and general surgery
• Facility operates as a smoke- and nicotine-free environment
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be declared prior to offer; no RTO approved after offer
• Facility adheres to CMS guidelines for vaccine exemption requests

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license must be in hand
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level II Trauma center is preferred
• Epic OP TIME charting experience is preferred
• Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption is required
