Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (N) or CNMT certification for a travel position working in nuclear medicine and PET/CT.

Responsibilities

• Position located in an imaging department specializing in nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures
• Work schedule is 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Call is required as part of the position
• Duties include planar, SPECT, SPECT/CT, PET, and theranostic imaging for ambulatory and hospital patients
• Maroon scrubs are required
• Responsibilities include performing nuclear medicine and PET procedures, conducting quality assurance on imaging and equipment, and adhering to radiation safety standards
• Must communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and safety, and maintain HIPAA compliance
• Collaboration with radiology and nursing teams required for smooth workflow and patient care
• Candidates must be able to take call when required and serve as a resource for new team members and students as needed
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; no local travelers will be considered
• Images and results must be properly transferred to PACS for physician review

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Active ARRT (N) or CNMT certification and BLS certification (AHA only)
• Active TX license required if applicable
• Must provide 2 professional references for consideration
• Flu shot is mandatory during flu season (August – November); no exemptions allowed
