Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact license and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Patient ratio is 1:4
- May float to the ED observation unit as needed
- Day shifts with 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 to 19:30
- Weekend work is required every other weekend
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- Responsibilities include delivering emergency care as part of a multidisciplinary team
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligible
- Bi-weekly orientations are provided
- A minimum lead time of 3 weeks between booking and start date is required for credentialing and compliance
- Documentation must be completed by the Friday prior to the start week
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license in hand
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- CPI certification preferred, can be obtained onsite if not already held
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the Emergency Department, Level 1 trauma experience required
- One supervisory reference from within the last year is required
- Full SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
- Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
