Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact license and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• May float to the ED observation unit as needed
• Day shifts with 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 to 19:30
• Weekend work is required every other weekend
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Responsibilities include delivering emergency care as part of a multidisciplinary team
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligible
• Bi-weekly orientations are provided
• A minimum lead time of 3 weeks between booking and start date is required for credentialing and compliance
• Documentation must be completed by the Friday prior to the start week

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license in hand
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• CPI certification preferred, can be obtained onsite if not already held
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Emergency Department, Level 1 trauma experience required
• One supervisory reference from within the last year is required
• Full SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
• Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
