Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a current NC or compact license, 2 years of level 1 trauma experience, and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Emergency Department of a hospital
• Patient population requires care in a level 1 trauma setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
• Every other weekend shift required
• Day shifts are 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
• May float to the ED observation unit
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius at a lower rate
• Responsibilities include providing care to emergency patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Orientation occurs every two weeks to support onboarding
• Holiday coverage may be required based on assignment needs

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an Emergency Department, level 1 trauma required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required
• Preferred CPI certification (can be obtained onsite if not currently held)
• One supervisory reference from within the last year is required for consideration
• Full SSN and date of birth must be provided for consideration
• Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions accepted
