Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact license and 2 years of recent ER and Level 1 trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Patient ratios are 1:4
- May float to the ED observation unit as needed
- Day shift working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Every other weekend is required
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- First-time travelers are eligible for this position
- Locals are accepted within a 75-mile radius with a local adjustment
- You may be required to cover other units within the ED department
- Holiday coverage expectations may apply as required by the department
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license must be in hand for consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience, including Level 1 trauma experience
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- CPI certification preferred; if not held it will be completed onsite
- One supervisory reference from within the last year is required
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no exemptions
- Full SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
