Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact license and 2 years of recent ER and Level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratios are 1:4
• May float to the ED observation unit as needed
• Day shift working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend is required
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• First-time travelers are eligible for this position
• Locals are accepted within a 75-mile radius with a local adjustment
• You may be required to cover other units within the ED department
• Holiday coverage expectations may apply as required by the department

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license must be in hand for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience, including Level 1 trauma experience
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• CPI certification preferred; if not held it will be completed onsite
• One supervisory reference from within the last year is required
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no exemptions
• Full SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
