Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a short term acute care, Magnet, teaching, Level III trauma hospital
  • Inpatient Interventional Radiology department with procedures in the Operating Room and Emergency Room
  • Daily caseload averages 9 cases per technologist
  • Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripheral, drainage, vascular, venous access, neurological and genitourinary studies
  • X-ray procedures include extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, lower and upper extremities
  • Uses Excellian/Epic EMR; experience preferred or required as per position details
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday, with start times between 07:00 and 08:30, working 40 hours per week
  • On-call required as needed, with 0-5 assignments per month; additional on-call is elective
  • No floating required within scope or to sister facilities
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Scrubs are provided by the unit
  • Parking is available at a flat hourly rate for all shifts
  • No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accommodated
  • Must be gone at least 3 months from last shift if previously employed as permanent staff or per diem
  • Locals are accepted with no radius restriction
  • Pre-assignment modules are required and must be completed prior to start

Requirements

  • Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology experience
  • Experience in inpatient, operating room, and emergency room settings required
  • Experience with a variety of IR and angio procedures as outlined in the job details
  • Must provide at least one supervisor reference for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • Pending state license accepted

Schedule is five 8s. Nice people but not a super cohesive team nurse/tech wise. Not in a great neighborhood at all
