Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position in Georgia, requiring current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Experience with management of dysrhythmias, central line care, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and triage required
• Use of Pyxis and Epic systems in daily workflow
• Floating is required within facility and possibly to a sister campus depending on need
• Required to work every other weekend
• No call responsibilities
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Must be able to provide documentation for required certifications
• Up to 7 days of RTO permitted (not during the first week of assignment)
• Holiday coverage required for major holidays falling within the assignment, with specific RTO restrictions
• Travelers may float to a sister campus within the health system as needed
• Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning
• Professional references from managers or higher positions are highly preferred
• Orientation is required and scheduling requests are not permitted

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with dysrhythmia management, central lines, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and emergency triage required
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered
