Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a WV or compact license and strong procedural sedation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 5-bed Emergency Department with an additional 2-bed endoscopy area
• Handles a variety of diagnostic services including electrocardiography, respiratory monitoring, nuclear medicine, radiology, suturing, and splint application
• Night shift schedule (3x12hr, 7:00pm – 7:00am) with every other weekend required
• Clinicians may be floated within scope based on facility needs
• Blocked schedule requests may be accommodated upon approval
• Perm employees are not eligible to return as travelers for 3 years following their last date of employment
• All personnel are required to have a flu vaccine unless a valid allergy is documented by a physician
• Orientation starts are held every other week on Thursday
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• References are required for employment consideration

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license (pending licensure may be considered)
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience and at least 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS; CPI and TNCC preferred (CPI can be completed onsite)
• Proficiency in continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, dysrhythmia management, triage, and care of ventilated patients
• Candidate’s permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility
• Clean RN license with no prior suspensions; probations considered case by case
