Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with two years of experience for a night shift contract requiring MD or compact RN licensure and critical care competency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU of a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Holidays are required as scheduled
• May be required to float within the specialty, including ICU/critical care and lower acuity areas, and to sister hospitals as needed
• On-call shifts are not scheduled but may be placed in on-call status during low census
• Provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients
• Work as part of a collaborative perioperative team
• Holiday coverage is required based on the hospital's schedule
• No scheduled on-call but flexibility for rare 'on-call' placement is expected

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of two years PACU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with strong ICU or critical care experience
