Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring night shifts, Meditech experience, and a compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 10-bed Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios vary depending on stage of labor, ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
• Direct patient care for obstetrical patients
• 4x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend shifts are required
• No call responsibilities
• Floating to other units may be required
• Meditech EMR experience is required
• Responsibilities include assessment, medication administration, implementing provider orders, documentation, and communication with the care team
• Must provide care in accordance with hospital policies and accreditation standards
• Two professional references required for consideration
• All RTO must be included at time of application to be honored

Requirements

• Active NC or compact state RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS certification within the last 6 months required
• CPI certification must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience required
• Meditech charting experience required
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
