Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and a SC or compact RN license for a hospital assignment with call requirements.

Responsibilities

Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
Assignment schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm
Patient ratio is 1:1 in the OR
On-call required: 1 day per week with one late shift per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
Potential floating between Downtown, Northeast, and Kershaw campuses as needed
Uses Epic EMR system
Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency
Scrubs are provided by the facility
Must be prepared to join emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
Block scheduling may be requested but is subject to manager approval
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; approval is based on facility needs
Candidates who reside within a 60-mile radius are considered locals and offered at a local rate
Parking is free with a pass provided at pickup
Pre-assignment modules are required and must be completed prior to start

Requirements

Active South Carolina or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration
First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
