Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a compact or NC RN license, with Epic EMR and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
  • Night shifts are 12 hours, 19:00 to 07:00, with every other weekend required
  • Use of Epic charting system
  • Bi-weekly orientation offered
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Locals within 75 miles are eligible but at a lower rate
  • CPI certification preferred, but onsite completion is available if not already held
  • No blocked schedule requests permitted

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license in hand
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele experience preferred; RNs with ED or Clinical Evaluation Unit backgrounds may be considered
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • At least one supervisory reference from the past year required
  • Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations allowed
