Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 1 or 2 Trauma ICU position requiring telemetry experience and a compact or VT RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a trauma center
• Day shifts with a total of 36 hours per week
• RN patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 based on patient acuity and experience
• Patients may require isolation precautions
• Telemetry skills are required
• Responsible for providing critical care to high-acuity trauma patients
• Must be able to adapt to varying patient needs and acuity levels
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Holiday coverage may be required

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required (proof of state residency required for compact license)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma setting within the past 2 years
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• CCRN certification is preferred
• Telemetry experience required
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from the facility
