Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Angio/Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT (R) and BCLS certifications for day shifts in a high-acuity interventional setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in an interventional radiology department
- Primary focus is on vascular, neuro, and interventional radiology procedures
- Patient population includes those requiring angiography, SIRT mapping, embolizations, neph and biliary tube placements, and CT-guided interventions
- Day shift, four 10-hour shifts per week
- Use of advanced imaging equipment and Epic EMR
- Personal radiation dosimeter badge is required for assignment
- Responsibilities include performing and assisting with a range of interventional and vascular procedures, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining safety standards
- May function as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring technologist during procedures
- Must maintain current licensure and required certifications at all times
- Adheres to strict infection control, patient identification, and radiation safety protocols
- Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facilities for at least one year prior to travel assignment eligibility
- Participation in emergency response as needed, including provision of life support
Requirements
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- BCLS certification from AHA must be valid through the duration of the assignment
- Active state license required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year experience in interventional or vascular radiology
- Experience with angiography and interventional radiology procedures
- Strong skills in anatomy, sterile technique, and patient education
- Competency with Epic charting system is required
