Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist with ARRT (R), BLS, and at least 2 years of experience for a Level III Trauma Center in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level III Trauma Center within Imaging Support Services
• Schedule is 7am-3pm with every other weekend required
• Five 8-hour shifts per week over a 13-week assignment
• Patient population includes trauma, surgery, and ER cases
• Duties include general diagnostic radiology exams and computerized tomographic procedures
• Must be proficient in OR, ER, portable, and general radiology
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• Specializes in performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures and general diagnostic x-ray exams
• Candidates must be reliable and provide excellent patient care
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Completion of background check and drug screen is required within strict deadlines
• All online modules must be completed and passed on site approximately one week prior to start date
• Requests for time off after assignment starts will need managerial approval
• Expect to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• Active Michigan state radiology license required if applicable
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of radiology technologist experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to perform both general diagnostic and CT imaging procedures
• Ability to complete required online modules onsite prior to start
• COVID vaccination is mandatory
