Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring recent acute care and OR experience, with day/evening 10-hour shifts and a compact or WI license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the hospital Operating Room
• Responsible for surgical patient care, with preferred experience in ortho cases
• Day/evening 10-hour shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM
• No call is required
• Travelers may be assigned to float to multiple units or locations, depending on staffing needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care in the Operating Room
• Responsible for facilitating efficiency in surgical case progression and OR turnover
• Travelers are given priority for floating assignments and may be re-assigned within the organization as needed
• Free parking is available on site

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license from permanent address state
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required
• Must have completed at least two years of acute care experience within the last three years
• Prior Operating Room nursing experience required
• Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the primary work site
