Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring recent travel experience, proficiency with Epic EMR, and an active IA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med Surg Tele unit with a focus on post-operative surgical care
• Initial training on the 3E unit before transitioning to 5E
• Care for a variety of med surg patient types, including telemetry and cardiac
• Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Must be willing and open to extending employment beyond the initial contract period
• Responsibilities include providing patient care across a variety of med surg scenarios, including post-op and telemetry patients
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this role
• One professional reference from a supervisor within the last 24 months is preferred

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Minimum of 24 months current Med Surg or Med Surg Tele RN experience required
• Recent experience completing at least one travel contract in the past 18 months is required
• Experience with Epic EMR and Heparin administration required
• Skills in telemetry and cardiac care highly preferred
• Charge and preceptor experience highly preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
