Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring neuro tele experience and an active CT or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5 on both day and night shifts
• Level I Trauma Center environment with a large, diverse patient population
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Floating to other units as needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• Responsible for providing care to neuro telemetry patients
• Return perm staff must be gone at least 2 years to be eligible for consideration as a traveler
• Radius rule applies; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) may be approved automatically
• Travelers may be expected to participate in emergency or disaster response activities
• Parking is available for a monthly fee
• Scrub requirements not specified

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required before start date
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele and neuro telemetry experience
• Current BCLS certification required
• Tele experience required
• Large hospital trauma center experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID vaccine and booster required unless exempted for religious or medical reasons
• Must not have prior issues on nursing license
